In continuation of the dive number 5, this dive starts into the bay of La Herradura, Calaiza is a small cove located very close to it, with a very nice beach almost inaccessible by land. The dive passes over a seabottom with rocks, where the view can offer you postcard sceneries, with banks salps, bream, etc. You can also see some octopuses wandering at the bottom and it is not uncommon to encounter the striking fried egg jellyfish (Cotylorhiza tuberculata) floating in midwater or near the surface. If you see one, observe carefully the little fishes named alevins, that always accompany it, protecting themselves between the tentacles. A few years ago this point was dedicated to the breeding of mussels of which nowadays little remains. It is a well-lit area, especially in the morning, and also calm and shallow, which makes it ideal for novice divers.
