Embalse de Rules

The Embalse de Rules (also called Dam of Rules), is located in the riverbed of Guadalfeo, downstream of its confluence with the River Izbor in the towns of Vélez de Benaudalla and Orgiva. The water is coming from the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada, the northern massif of Sierra de Lujar and the mountains of Contaviesa. It was opened in 2004. Several companies are organizing activities on  the lake (not on site), like windsurfing, paddling and canoeing. The high way from Granada to Motril is crossing the  halfway the middle.
