The village is located at 909 meters above sea level and has 609 inhabitants. The town has a rich history. They found remains of the Bronze Age and Roman period. The municipality of Valor is part of the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada, and is located on the south side nestled between two ravines. To its municipality belongs also Nechite and Mecina Alfahar. It is a very authentic village with its small narrow streets and "tinaos". In the town are some bars.
