This canyon which is also named Barranco de las Angosturas, is most of the time dry and is only accessible for people with experience. Access to the gorge is by a narrow lane at the entrance of the village coming from the coast. It continues for several km to park in a spot where there is a deserted farmhouse with immediate access to the canyon. The trail starts with a small number of destrepes and rappelling and the final part has two rappels of around 25m vertical.
The ravine is easily accessible to anyone with knowledge of canyoning, however it is a risky activity therefore categorized difficult. The ravine has an extra attraction of visiting the mine with the gypsum formations.
