The Castle of Castell de Ferro

The Castle of Castell de Ferro originates from an undetermined period, but the current building is from the Nazari time

It is situated at a hillock that prevented the people of the Rambla descending from the Sierra de Lújar and it is dividing the municipality of Gualchos and Lújar. The castle was declared of Cultural Interest, on June 29th, 1985. 

In the summer of 2010 a new interpretation center of the culture of the coast has been opened in Castell de Ferro, which offers a virtual reconstruction of the castles in the area, including Castell de Ferro,
