The village is located at 5 meters above sea level and has 2025 inhabitants (2013). This small village belongs to the municipalliy of Motril. The village thanks its origin from the settlement of small farmers in Los Llanos. The final breakthrough came with the construction of houses by the Institute for Agrarian Reform and Development. Immigration has also grown in recent years, where the population now exceeds 2,000. Agriculture marks the rhythm of economic growth in this town and has its turning point in the development of intensive agriculture under plastic. The village has one beach.
