The tower is located on a vertical cliff near the road towards Castell de Ferro. The construction dates from the sixteenth century and its mission was to protect the port of Calahonda
from the pirates. It also served to watch the beach of La Rijana. It is crossing its fire with the Llano de Carchuna to the West and with the Fort of Castell del Fero to the East. It is made of
limestone masonry and lime mortar. From the hill you have a beautiful view on Calahonda and sunrises.
