Iznalloz

The village is situated at 804 meters above sea level and has 6101 inhabitants (2014). The name Iznalloz comes from Arabic Hisn Allauz which means "Castle Almond". The people are living mainly from the agriculture (olives).

Festivities in Iznalloz

On the 15th of May the Pilgrimage of the Patrón de Iznalloz is celebrated;
In the Third week of August is the festival celebrated in honor of "Nuestra Señora de los Remedios".

Cueva del Agua (guided visits for groups) . The cave has extensive galleries of the Jurassic period, lakes at different levels and different depths and even an indoor river. Inside were discovered utensils, ceramics, burials, etc., of eneolíticas cultures, that have been deposited in the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Granada.
