The chasm it located north of the Cerro El Calar (Sierra de la Alfaguara), in a very wooded area. This cave has three short parts, interbedded by ramps that reach a depth of 30 m and has 110 m of development. The first explorations were made in June 1951 by former members of the SGEG group who named it Sima del Chaparral. Unfortunately its location was forgotten until the mid-60s when the Youth Caving Group Caving OJE locate it again and baptized it to Niño de Guarda.
