Natural Monument - Peña de Castril

The Natural Monument Peña de Castril  is a rocky outcrop located in the town of Castril. It is situated on the leftbank of Rio de Castil in the center of the village Castril. It is a place of exceptional beauty and great natural and cultural value. From its viewpoint, located more than one hundred meters in height, you will enjoy excellent views of the mountains and hollows of Baza and Guadix. Neighbor is the Christ of the Sacred Heart and the remains of an old Moorish castle, which is showing the importance of this enclave for the people of Castril.
