The Centenillo Mine - Albuñuelas

A Lead an Molybdenum mine,  known as lead and molybdenum Triassic carbonates of the Tectonic Alpujárride Complex. A mine that is not very dangerous and accessible for children, but always under the supervision of parents and without sticking to the walls, except in safe places where you can be and sting a bit. You can leave the car at the entrance of the canyon Cañuelo and walk the last part of the road or go up with the car; the road is good for vehicles. In the mine you can encounter Wulfenite, Vanadinite, Cerussite and Galena minerals.

Also a Endlichite variety which is rich in arsenic, can be found; prismatic crystals hexagonal pyramid millimeter-sized, red to brown, almost translucent and gloss simepre. They appear alone or in fibrous-radial, tree, or in the form of hedgehog groups. Esfalerita - (Zn,Fe)S  y variedad Blenda acaramelada is also found in Centenillo.
