These Arab Baths date from the 11th century and are one of the oldest and best preserved Arabic public baths in Spain.
The baths are on the ground floor of a private house in the Carrera del Darro, at the foot of the Alhambra, and show us the degree of refinement that had the Spanish Arabs thousand years ago.
The Bañuelo of Granada is one of the few places of this kind that got saved from the destruction of the Catholic Kings, as among Christians the Arab baths had a reputation comparable to the brothel. In 1918 El Bañuelo was declared to National Monument and it was restored.
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 10:00 - 17:00.
Free entrance.
