Monasterio de San Jerónimo
The monastery of San Jeronimo de Granada, is an architectural work of the Renaissance formed by church and monastery. It was the first monastery built in Granada after the conquest of the city by the Christians, and its foundation dates back even before the capture of the city by the Catholic Monarchs. It was in 1504 when the building started of the current set and it was finished in 1547. The Great Captain was buried her next to his wife. It was declared to national monument on June 4, 1931 and registered as a cultural interest.
The work is mostly due to Diego of Siloam but also other architects and artists such as James Florentino, Juan de Aragon, Juan Bautista Vázquez the Younger, Pedro de Orea and Pablo de
Rojas have participated.

Monday - Sunday: 10:00-13:30 and 16: 00-19:30
September to February:
Monday - Saturday: 10:00-13:00, 15:00-18:30
Entrance fee: 4 euro
