The Rio Genil has it spring in Sierra Nevada and is passing the villages Güejar Sierra and Pinos de Genil before it enters Granada. It is crossing the city from east to west in the southern part of the center. A nice part is the part along the "Passeo the Salon" where a park is situated. In this park you can join the lovely terraces of restaurant and bar "Las Titas". There is also a walking trail at the right side of the river going upstream to Pinos de Genil. This is a lovely trail for runners and mountain bikers. At the beginning of the park the bridge "Punte Romano" (which is by the way not Roman) is crossing the river. Specially at night the reflections of the bridge are giving a fairylike view.
More downstream are a few more bars located which have also a view on the river. Finally at the end, when the river is leaving the town, are the cultural center of Caja de Granada and the Forum
Center located. The Forum has at its top floor a very nice restaurant with magnificant views on the city and the country side. You do not need to walk around for the views, during your luch
or dinner your view is changing by the time beccause the restaurant is turning around! During the night you can enjoy the disco with its "lounge" terrace which is situated in
the same building.
