The Bodega Pago de Almaraes is situated in the heart of the Guadix. The bodega has currently a production of about 200,000 bottles a year, although the winery is planned for optimum performance at 500,000 bottles of quality wine which they expect to reach in the coming years.
The winery manages 43 hectares. The winery and its partners use mainly Tempranillo, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Fran for producing the red and rose wines.
In Pago de Almaraes you can learn about the history of wine from the period of the Phoenicians to the present. You will also see the process of winemaking in the bodeag itself (barrels room, bottling, warehouses ...). After visiting our winery you will see our manufacturing process. By visiting Pago de Almaraes you will start to know the world of wine, learn to distinguish smells, to know their tastes and more.
