Guided Visit Winery Jabalcón - Baza (Granada)

In the Hoya de Baza, at the foot of the mountains is the winery Jabalcón located. The varieties that they have are: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garna- cha and a local variety which is not in the catologue. The vineyard is divided over the townships of Caniles, Zújar, Cullar and Baza, at a height between 800 and 1,200 meters above sea level. This causes a thermal inertia between day and night of 20C during the ripening of the grapes, making it develops slowly and synchronously. As a result, the grape is accumulating a high concentration of polyphenols, which when fully ripen, results in a great organoleptic characteristic of the wine. From the date of opening of the bodega till the present, a total of 120,000 bottles a year is obtained, although the winery has the capacity to produce 400,000 bottles.
