Granada has lots of possibilities for lovers of hiking. All the natural parks have several marked hiking trails. We have searched for some hiking routes and found some excellent hiking trails prepared by Trek Sierra Nevada and Top Walks. The links to these trails we have placed on the information sites of the natural parks.
The GR-7 is the most famous hiking trail, which is part of the long hiking trail from Gibratar to Greece. The Spanish GR 7 is almost 2000 km long. It was the first long-distance footpath that was marked out in Spain (1974). It runs up the east side of peninsular Spain, but at some distance from the coast. It is crossing the province from Granada from Arenas del Rey through the Valle Lecrín, the Alpujarra, crossing the Sierra Nevada, Sierra de Baza in order to reach the village Puebla de Don Fadrique.
